DURHAM, N.C. – A student was shot last week at North Carolina Central University. Police have now identified the suspects. The police have not released any identifying information about the victim or suspects.

According to NCCU police, officers received a report around 10:15pm about gunshots being fired at Lawson Street Residential Complex.

EMS transported a student with non-life-threatening gunshot wounds to Duke University Hospital. Police have not yet released a motive. The campus did go into lockdown from 10:20pm to 12:20am.

Lawson street was closed from Fayetteville St. to Lincoln St Tuesday night until police lifted the lockdown, saying there was no danger to the campus or the community.
