CARRBORO, NC – Carrboro joins other communities in Operation Green Light as a way to show their support of veterans.
The Carrboro Town Council signed a resolution declaring Nov. 6 through Nov. 12 as a time to honor veterans through displaying green lights on the Town Hall.
The Town Council has recognized that 44-72% of service members experience high levels of stress upon transitioning out of active duty. So, they have joined the effort to shine a light on veterans who have a difficult time returning to civilian life.
The Council is also encouraging businesses and residents to participate by displaying a green light in their windows.
