CHAPEL HILL, N.C. – Students who are looking for one last act of service before the end of the semester are in luck.

Next week, the American Red Cross will host its largest blood drive in the state at the Dean Dome. The event starts at 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. and free parking is available to those who participate.

The Carolina Blood Drive started in 1989, has impacted potentially more than 110,000 lives through blood donations. At last year’s drive, 515 donors and 93 volunteers helped collect 510 lifesaving pints of blood.
