Local Earth Day Celebrations  

CHAPEL HILL, N.C. — If you’re looking for plans this weekend, consider Sustainable Carolina Thursday and the town of Carrboro’s Earth Day celebration Saturday. At Sustainable Carolina on Thursday… join in on celebrating sustainability projects on campus this year at Rams Bead Plaza. Carolina Dining Services, Campus Rec, UNC Libraries and Maple View will provide the entertainment and snacks. Then on Saturday afternoon, visit Carrboro’s Earth Day festival in the Carrboro Town Commons. You’ll find vegan and vegetarian food vendors, art, music, a parade and an electric car show.
