CHAPEL HILL, N.C. — The Playmakers Repertory Company has revealed its lineup of shows for season. Plays like “Much Ado About Nothing” and “Murder on the Orient Express” are among the classics that will be performed in this upcoming season.

The theater company will also be premiering the hotly anticipated play “The Game.” The play is written by Bekah Brunstetter, a UNC alumna and an award-winning writer for the hit TV show “This is Us.”

Producing Artistic Director Vivienne Benesch has described Brunstetter’s play as an “important new work for the American stage.”

“The Game” is also the first production from the theatre company’s @PLAY initiative.

Benesch has also teased a mystery show for January 2024 and has indicated that PlayMakers will be one of the first regional theaters in the country to produce it. The show will be revealed at a later date.

“The 23-24 season is full of thrills, chills and great, diverse stories that will bring incredibly exciting artists to Chapel Hill to work alongside our nationally recognized resident company,” Benesch said.

Tickets for these shows will go on sale in July. A ticket package that includes entry for all six shows of the season will also available. For more information, visit the Playmakers website.
