CHAPEL HILL, N.C.– The University Affairs Committee of the Board of Trustees at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill met at the Carolina Inn to discuss university issues.

The discussion mainly focused on the tensions between the faculty of the School of Civic Life and Leadership and the Trustees about the timeline of how the school is being developed.

Confusion arose among the members of the faculty when a Trustee member wrote an op-ed about the creation of the school.

The issue also spoken about at the meeting was how the Trustees viewed the faculty of the school, with how the Trustees spoke about the faculty publicly. However, the Trustees spoke that they saw otherwise.

The next Board of Trustees meeting will happen on Thursday and then again on May 17 and 18.
