CHAPEL HILL, N.C. — If you’re looking to blast off to Mars, the Morehead Planetarium has got your back.
Mars: the ultimate voyage is the newest addition to the planetarium’s line up of shows. The new show will transport viewers to the red planet and explore humanity’s challenges in getting to mars. The project is a collaboration with NASA and the University of Minnesota’s Bell Museum to help inform the public on Mars.
“A mission to Mars sounds like a major accomplishment, but once people learn about the real challenges that still need to be overcome before that mission can happen, they will gain a whole new appreciation for the hard work that goes into sending humans into space,” said Ben Fox, head of VFX at Morehead Planetarium.
Tickets are on sale now on the Morehead Planetarium’s website. The shows start at 3 pm, Friday through Sunday.
