CHAPEL HILL, N.C.– The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill has provided more resources for students and staff across campus in the form of a QR code placed in all of the classrooms.
The QR codes can be scanned and it will lead those who scanned to the Carolina Ready website with checklists and other resources to help in case of emergency situations.
Training videos, guides on how to lock the classroom door, and what to do in an armed person on campus situation. The website also has the “Employee Action Plan” and a care referral form on the same page.
Students, professors and faculty will have more of an access to classroom safety resources using this QR code pushed to use by a team of faculty and Carolina safety organizations. It was pushed by faculty to be created as they felt like they had no guidance on how to approach emergencies when in the classroom.
