CHAPEL HILL, N.C. — Chapel Hill school bus drivers will soon have the highest bus driver salaries in the state.
A minimum of $20 an hour starts in July for all current school bus drivers in the Chapel Hill-Carrboro City School District.
The increase addresses a staffing issue felt by the school district, but the entire state is struggling to find qualified bus drivers to fill routes.
