CHAPEL HILL, NC – One-stop absentee voting is more commonly known as early voting. This allows voters to cast a ballot in person and also choose a day that best suits their schedules.

Some important days to look ahead. Today is the 13th day of early voting in North Carolina with only three days left before early voting sites close off this saturday. If you have not yet registered but still want to vote, these one-stop sites let you do both at the same time. 

Voters may cast a ballot at any early voting sites in the county where they are registered. There are six sites here in Orange County. all locations are open on the same date and hours, including weekends. According to the North Carolina state board of election, voters do not need to show photo id in elections.

Sample ballots are available through voter search online. knowing your candidate choices in advance and being familiar with the ballot will help your voing experience go more quickly.
