Dr. Tan’s research interest centers on caregivers of individuals with advance cancer. She received her BSN in 2016 and PhD in nursing in 2021 at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill School of Nursing. She completed a postdoctoral fellowship with the Lineberger Comprehensive Cancer Center Cancer Care Quality Training Program. She is currently an Assistant Professor in the School of Nursing at the University of Pittsburgh. Her current research focus is on caregiver quality-of-life outcomes, caregiving related stress response, and interventions to reduce the negative effects of caregiving related stress and increase positive outcomes of caregiving.
Yiqing Qian (she/her), PhD
Dr. Qian is interested in understanding social, cultural, and behavioral aspects in cancer caregiving and developing culturally relevant interventions to support care recipient-caregiver dyads. Her background is a combination of health behavior, epidemiology, and biology. She is currently a postdoctoral fellow at the Johns Hopkins University Center for Equity in Aging.
