Erin E. Kent is an Associate Professor in Health Policy and Management at the UNC Chapel Hill Gillings School of Global Public Health. Dr. Kent focuses on the impact of social context on health outcomes for individuals with serious illness and their families, with 115+ publications in patient- and family-centered outcomes research. She uses mixed methods research approaches. Her current work is focused on integrating supportive care for patients and caregivers in oncology, through developing, adapting, and implementing navigation and coaching interventions. She formerly served as a Program Director and Scientific Advisor for the Outcomes Research Branch at the National Cancer Institute.
