Welcome

Welcome

Welcome to the Caregiving Collaboratory, a site that brings together faculty, students, trainees and other colleagues to share ideas and opportunities related to caregiving research.

What is a caregiver?
A caregiver is a family member or paid helper who regularly looks after a child or a sick, elderly, or disabled person.

What is caregiving?

Caregiving is the act of supporting a person who is experiencing a serious illness problem. Caregiving can include many forms of support, including instrumental or logistical support, emotional support and companionship, clinical care, financial support, and advocacy.

The research we do at the Caregiving Collaboratory centers both caregivers and caregiving in the work.
