Joseph Sharp is a highly skilled biomedical engineer specializing in regenerative medicine and medical microdevices. With a Bachelor of Science in Biomedical Engineering from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, Joseph brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to his work.
Throughout his academic journey, Joseph received prestigious awards, including the Niimbl Scholarship for biopharmaceutical students and the Student Academic Achievement Award for outstanding performance in Ethics. He is dedicated to pushing boundaries and making a positive impact in the field.
Joseph’s professional experience encompasses roles where he excelled in design, prototyping, and project management. At the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill, he served as a Student Assistant in the Biomedical Engineering Design Lab, training undergraduate students in PCB fabrication and supporting their design projects. He also worked as a Special Projects Coordinator at BeAM Makerspace, where he undertook various design and fabrication projects, enhancing the makerspace’s capabilities.
With a passion for entrepreneurship, Joseph founded and managed Lead Tech Service LLC, providing microsoldering services and surface mount rework repairs. His strong leadership skills and technical expertise contributed to the company’s success.
Joseph is an active member of the engineering community, serving as a mentor for undergraduate biomedical engineering students and leading The Drone Club at Chapel Hill. He is committed to collaboration and knowledge sharing.
