The project aims to lighten the workload on softball pitchers during games by enhancing the collaboration between pitchers, catchers, and pitching coaches. At the collegiate level, understanding how to strategically call pitches is crucial, with the pitching coach analyzing opposing pitchers’ performances to devise effective strategies. Through leveraging technology and data, pitching staffs can optimize their performance against great hitters. The catcher plays a pivotal role in studying batters, allowing them to make informed decisions during gameplay. The project emphasizes enhancing the pitcher’s knowledge, focusing on pitch selection, strengths, and leveraging Performance Theory to make dynamic decisions. An example illustrates the process, featuring the utilization of data analytics to tailor pitch selection against specific hitters, ultimately aiming for successful outcomes pitch by pitch. The solution involves creating comprehensive scouting reports on hitters, ensuring pitchers have necessary information to excel in their performance.
