Hi! My name is Anand Bhatia and I am a 5th year PhD student in Operations Management. The motivation for my research is examining operational efficiencies that improve delivery to populations in need. Areas of interest include healthcare operations, global health, and humanitarian operations. My current work examines the cost and quality benefits associated with standardization of health care delivery.
Prior to joining UNC Operations Management PhD Program, I had 9 years of industry experience including working for Orbitz, KPMG, and NYU Hospitals. I received a B.S. in Industrial Engineering from the University of Iowa and MEng in Supply Chain Management from MIT.
When I am not researching, I’m an avid sports fan. I enjoy golfing, love traveling, and expanding my cooking repertoire.
